Director of Nigel Gainey Opticians he qualified as an optometrist in 2001. Having worked with Co-op Eyecare he practiced as a locum optician for five years with many large optical companies and several independent optometric practices before directing his own practice

MCOptom
Qualified as an Optometrist in 2000 and has worked locally at Bateman's Opticians and Vision Express. She joined the team in January 2016.

Mark Davies
Dispensing Optician
Qualified in 1989 as a Dispensing Optician. He has over 30 years optical experience working for the practice in St Budeaux before it was purchased by Nigel Gainey in 2008.

Jane Whittington Diabetic Screener
Is an optical administrator, pre-screening specialist and has now completed the diabetic screening qualification. She has over 10 years' experience in optics, working for other well known independent opticians. Jane joined the team in 2008.

Nicola Terry Receptionist
Joined the team as a full-time Receptionist after leaving school in September 2015. She successfully completed an NVQ 2 in Customer Services in September 2016.
